Donatella Versace has reportedly acknowledged using Botox, but the available reporting does not establish what caused the facial changes viewers noticed in recent photographs. Claims about fillers or other procedures remain unconfirmed; photographs and online reactions cannot determine a medical cause.
Why people began asking about her appearance
Discussion surged after Versace attended the London premiere of The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical in December 2024. A photograph from the event prompted comments that she looked different, including the Dutch-language reaction “Donatella heeft een nieuw gezicht” (“Donatella has a new face”), recorded by RTL Boulevard. That phrase reflects audience reaction to an image, not confirmation of a procedure.
In its December 4, 2024 report, RTL Boulevard said Versace had acknowledged Botox in 2005, while describing other procedures as unconfirmed (report; event coverage).
What has been reported about Botox
RTL Boulevard’s account says Versace acknowledged Botox use in 2005, but it does not provide her original words. Sky TG24’s August 27, 2025 photo gallery later recalled a statement attributed to her in 2013: “Non sono geneticamente così” (“I’m not genetically like this”), in the context of Botox (Sky TG24). This is a quotation as reported by Sky TG24, not a newly verified primary interview.

These accounts support saying that Versace has reportedly acknowledged Botox. They do not establish a comprehensive treatment history or explain the appearance in any particular photograph.
What is not confirmed about fillers or other procedures
Vanity Fair Italia wrote on August 25, 2025 that suggestions Versace had removed earlier fillers remained speculation. It said she had never confirmed to the media receiving hyaluronic acid or silicone injections (Vanity Fair Italia). The reporting reviewed here does not confirm filler use or removal, a facelift, implants, or another specific procedure.

Sky TG24 described a summer 2025 image as showing a natural, refined look and compared it with earlier appearances (Sky TG24). Such descriptions are editorial impressions of photographs, not clinical assessments. Vanity Fair Italia also raised rest, seasonal pace, and the photograph itself as possible context; none is established as the cause of a change in appearance.
What photographs can—and cannot—show
Photographs document how someone appeared in a particular image. They do not reveal whether a person had a medical or cosmetic procedure, or why their appearance differed from another image. Lighting, styling, expression, angle, and timing may affect how a photograph reads, but the cited coverage does not establish any of these as the explanation in Versace’s case.

The reporting supports a limited account: acknowledged Botox use has been reported; additional treatments and the cause of changes noticed in photographs remain unestablished.

Capri Holdings announced on March 13, 2025 that Versace would become chief brand ambassador effective April 1, 2025, while Dario Vitale was appointed chief creative officer on that date (Capri Holdings announcement). Those career changes provide context for her public profile, but do not explain her appearance.
