Kim Rhodes continued acting after playing Carey Martin on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Her later work included Sheriff Jody Mills on Supernatural and roles in Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street, Kings of Con and Kung Fu. The available career records do not establish that her career fizzled out or explain any supposed decline.
Kim Rhodes’s career before and during the Disney sitcoms
Rhodes had acting credits before her best-known Disney role. Apple TV’s biography notes appearances on the soap opera As the World Turns and in the procedural series Without a Trace.
She became widely recognized as Carey Martin, the twins’ mother on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She later reprised Carey on the spin-off The Suite Life on Deck.
What Kim Rhodes did after The Suite Life
Her post-Disney credits include work across several television series. Us Weekly’s cast retrospective identifies these representative projects:
#1 Best Overall
- Factory sealed DVD
- Supernatural, where Rhodes played Sheriff Jody Mills; the retrospective places her association with the series in 2010–2020.
- Gortimer Gibbon’s Life on Normal Street.
- Kings of Con.
- Kung Fu, with the retrospective listing her work in 2022–2023.
TV Guide’s credit index also lists Kung Fu, Strong Enough and Supernatural. Credit indexes are useful for finding roles, but they should not be treated as exhaustive filmographies. These titles show continued work after the Disney sitcoms; they are examples, not a complete account of her career.
Did Kim Rhodes quit acting?
The available sources do not establish that Rhodes quit acting, retired, or stopped working. They document later television credits, but do not provide a complete account of her activity or choices. A gap in prominent credits, or fewer roles that attract broad attention, is not by itself evidence that an actor has left the profession.

Why do people say her career fizzled out?
That wording assumes a decline that the reviewed career records do not demonstrate. They identify no verified cause for a supposed slowdown—not a lack of offers, a decision to leave acting, or a personal commitment. Without a substantiated statement from Rhodes or a representative, assigning her a reason would be speculation.
A convention listing advertises Rhodes as a guest and offers autograph, selfie and photo-op options. That is evidence of an advertised event appearance, not evidence that she has retired or that it explains her career choices.
