Where Cassia’s story stood after her divorce
Cassia Tavares and Jason Hitch appeared on season 2 of 90 Day Fiancé in 2014. They separated in 2017, and their divorce was finalized in October 2018, according to Reality TV World. They were no longer married when Jason died.

In a December 2022 Reddit AMA, Cassia described what happened after the split. She said she went to Lisbon to visit her sisters, then traveled to Italy and met Giuseppe. According to her account, he encouraged her to buy a one-way ticket to Italy. She said she had been living there for about four years at the time of the AMA. Those details are her retrospective account, not confirmation of her location in 2026. Read Cassia’s AMA.
Did Cassia marry again?
Yes. Starcasm reported that Cassia shared wedding photos and said she and Giuseppe married at an Italian courthouse in February 2021. The outlet said COVID-era circumstances kept them from having a larger ceremony. Starcasm’s report on Cassia’s wedding documents that public announcement.

What happened to Jason Hitch?
Jason died in December 2021, aged 45. TMZ reported that he died in a Florida hospital ICU after COVID-19 complications, citing his sister Shannon. Details about his illness and medical history in that report were attributed to her. TMZ’s report covers the circumstances it reported.
How Cassia reacted to Jason’s death
A December 2021 report by Reality TV World reproduced Cassia’s Instagram Story response: “It’s always sad when someone you spent part of your life with stops breathing.” In her later AMA, she gave more detail about her feelings and what she knew at the time.
She said the news came as a shock
Cassia said she had not known Jason was ill and nearing death. In the AMA, she wrote, “Then I got the news that he passed away. I was shocked.”

She regretted not having a final conversation
She also said she felt guilty that they had not spoken and wished she had been able to say goodbye: “I would’ve liked to have the opportunity to talk to him one last time.” These are Cassia’s own descriptions of her reaction and their last period of contact.
What is known—and not known—about Cassia now
The available detailed first-person update is from December 2022. It supports saying that Cassia described living in Italy and being married to Giuseppe by then, but it does not verify her present-day circumstances.
