February 2024: Phillips offered a brief family update
At a public appearance, Phillips described herself and her then-9-year-old daughter as a “great little team,” according to E! News. It was a short public remark, not a detailed account of the child’s circumstances.
October 2025: Phillips petitioned to change Fianna’s surname
TMZ reported on October 24, 2025, citing court documents it said it had obtained, that Phillips filed to change her 11-year-old daughter’s name from Fianna Francis Masterson to Fianna Francis Phillips. At the time of that report, the request was awaiting a judge’s approval. TMZ report.

Was Fianna’s name change approved?
The October 2025 report described a pending petition, not a completed name change. The reporting cited here does not confirm a later ruling, so it does not establish that Fianna’s surname was legally changed.
