Rotten Tomatoes currently lists the series at 97% from 68 critics’ reviews, with Season 1 at 100% and Season 2 at 95%. Peacock lists both seasons; in the UK, Channel 4 announced Season 2 availability from 30 May 2024. Streaming availability can change by region.
What does the 100% Rotten Tomatoes score mean?
The 100% rating applies to Season 1, not the entire show. Rotten Tomatoes’ current page lists a 97% average Tomatometer across 68 reviews for the series, with Season 1 at 100% and Season 2 at 95%. These scores and review counts can change as the page is updated. Rotten Tomatoes’ series page shows the aggregate and season-by-season figures.
The Tomatometer is the critics’ score. Rotten Tomatoes separately lists a 75% average Popcornmeter score across 250+ ratings, which is an audience measure, not another critics’ score. The two figures answer different questions and should not be conflated.
There is also a dated reason some coverage may describe the show as a 100% hit: on 22 November 2021, Channel 4 said the first season had maintained a 100% Rotten Tomatoes Top Critic rating at that time. That historical statement is not the current whole-series score. Channel 4’s 2021 announcement records the claim in its original context.

What is We Are Lady Parts about?
This music comedy follows Amina Hussein, a PhD student recruited to play lead guitar in Lady Parts, an all-women Muslim punk band. The band’s joyful, unruly energy pulls her into a world that sits alongside—and often clashes with—her university life as she tries to find her voice. Peacock’s listing describes the premise as a geeky student being swept up when the band recruits her as guitarist. Peacock’s series page lists the show as TV-MA and names Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey and Faith Omole among the cast.
What happens in Season 2?
After returning from their first UK tour, Lady Parts take on a new artistic mission: they face a rival band and work toward recording their debut album while reconsidering what “making it big” means to them. Channel 4’s press pack describes that Season 2 setup and says the season became available on Channel 4 on 30 May 2024. Read Channel 4’s Season 2 press pack.
