The “a year after” framing refers to the time between her diagnosis and this sighting. Her care team said she was diagnosed in 2023, without giving an exact date, so “a year after” is an approximate reading. The diagnosis was announced publicly on February 22, 2024. Everything in this article describes events from 2023 and 2024, and the most recent item covered here is from December 2025.
What was reported about the August 2024 visit
E! reported that Williams visited the shop with her son and appeared in a photo shared by the business’s Instagram account. In the picture she posed with the shop’s owner and held a shopping bag and flowers. That photo and the visit are the entire basis of the sighting story.

- It does not show her health status, cognitive function, or how her condition had changed since the diagnosis. Appearance and a shopping trip are not medical evidence in either direction.
- The coverage does not identify any product at the shop, and it does not make any claim about a health benefit. Nothing in the visit is a recommendation for supplements, devices, or treatments.

What the diagnosis statement says, and who said it
Williams’s care team said she was diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia after a battery of medical tests. AP reported that the statement credited Weill Cornell Medicine with her care and expertise. The institution declined to comment to AP.

E! reported that the team described aphasia as affecting speech and frontotemporal dementia as affecting cognitive functions. These are the team’s characterizations from 2024. They are not an independent medical evaluation, and no outside clinician’s review of her records is described in the coverage.

What later reporting does and does not settle
The ABC News topic page lists a December 9, 2025 item titled “New medical evaluation raises questions about Wendy Williams’ dementia diagnosis.” Its summary says that Williams and her attorney were seeking release from a court-appointed guardianship after a favorable recent health evaluation.
The summary does not give the findings of that evaluation, and it does not show a final resolution. On the evidence available, the diagnosis has not been shown to be wrong, and it has not been definitively confirmed by new findings either. This article does not cover reporting after December 2025.
