In a March 25, 2024 report, Futurism said Grimes had posted a series of Instagram photos captioned “Beauty and the Beast,” with an untagged person who appeared to be DJ Matteo “Anyma” Milleri. The headline’s line about waiting for Elon Musk to “go berzerk” is the outlet’s prediction, not a reported reaction from Musk. The article is a snapshot of that week, and it does not establish whether the two relationships described have changed since.

What Grimes posted

According to the Futurism article by Maggie Harrison Dupré, Grimes shared a series of Instagram photos and captioned them “Beauty and the Beast.” The person in the photos was not tagged. A hosted copy of the same report appears on Yahoo News, dated the same day. Both are versions of one Futurism piece, so they should not be counted as separate confirmation.

Who the article says is pictured

The article said the untagged person appeared to be DJ Matteo “Anyma” Milleri. That is an identification based on the photos and surrounding context, not a statement from either person. Readers should treat it as the outlet’s reading rather than a confirmed fact.

What the report does and does not establish

The table separates what the 2024 article reported directly from what it inferred or predicted.

Point What the March 2024 report says How to read it
The Instagram post Grimes captioned the photos “Beauty and the Beast”; the person pictured was untagged. A reported social-media caption. It is not a statement confirming relationship status.
The person pictured Appeared to be DJ Matteo “Anyma” Milleri. The article’s tentative identification. No named quotation in the report verifies it.
The music connection Links the pair to the song “Welcome to the Opera” and to joint performances. Context for the apparent connection. It does not by itself show whether they are in a relationship.
Grimes and Musk The article states that the two were never married and summarizes their earlier relationship and custody dispute. Dated background as of March 2024. It is not a current legal update.
Musk’s reaction The headline predicts he would “go berzerk.” The report does not describe any response from him to the post. A prediction. It should not be read as a reported event.

Why the headline makes a prediction

The “waiting for Elon Musk to go berzerk” framing draws on the public history between Grimes and Musk, including earlier coverage of their relationship and custody arrangements. That history explains why the outlet expected a reaction. It does not show that a reaction happened, and the report does not establish one.

What remains unresolved

The March 2024 coverage cannot answer three questions a reader is likely to ask:

Rank #2
  • Whether Grimes and Milleri were dating at the time of the post, or are together now.
  • Whether Musk responded publicly, then or later.
  • Whether any custody or family arrangements described as background have changed since 2024.

Anyone checking these points should look for newer reporting from the individuals or from reputable outlets, dated after March 2024, rather than relying on this article’s framing.

How to cite this story accurately

If you reference the story, attribute the claims to the outlet and keep the date attached. For example: “Futurism reported on March 25, 2024 that Grimes had posted photos captioned ‘Beauty and the Beast,’ and that the untagged person appeared to be DJ Matteo ‘Anyma’ Milleri.” Avoid writing that Musk “reacted,” that the pair are “dating,” or that the headline’s prediction came true, because the 2024 report supports none of those statements.

Tags for this story should reflect the people and the outlet, not any product. The article links the pair to music work but names no physical release or product that would be useful to readers following the story.

Taken together, the verified content is narrow: an Instagram caption, an untagged person whom the outlet tentatively identified, and background that is more than two years old at the time of writing. Everything beyond that is either the outlet’s inference or its prediction.

Written with the outlet’s own date in mind, this account is a record of what was reported in March 2024. Later developments in either relationship would need their own dated sources.
