The report says the case later ended with punishment extinguished after she fully complied with a non-prosecution agreement. That account describes an arrest and allegation—not a conviction.
What was Fernanda Bande accused of?
UOL reported that the accusation involved drawing electricity from a distribution network through a direct connection, commonly called a “gato.” The allegation concerned an event in 2022, before Bande appeared on Big Brother Brasil 24. What happened to the case?
According to UOL, the prosecutor’s office and Niterói’s 2nd Criminal Court said a sentence had declared “extinção da sua punibilidade pelo cumprimento integral de acordo de não persecução penal.” In other words, the report says punishment was extinguished after full compliance with a non-prosecution agreement.
Bande’s official profile also posted, as quoted by UOL: “Brincadeiras a parte, o processo foi arquivado após pagamento de multa com cestas básicas.” That is the profile’s description of the case being archived after payment of a fine with food baskets; it should not be mistaken for the court’s wording.

Was she convicted?
The reporting cited here does not describe a conviction. It reports an arrest and an accusation, then says the punishment was extinguished after the agreement was fully completed. An arrest or accusation alone does not establish guilt.

The alleged incident was reported as having occurred in 2022, while the coverage emerged publicly in March 2024, during Bande’s time in the public eye as a BBB 24 contestant.
