WWE Money in the Bank 2024 took place on July 6, 2024, with five matches: two ladder matches, two championship bouts and a six-man tag. The announced stakes pointed to title opportunities and a consequential World Heavyweight Championship match; the actual results included Drew McIntyre cashing in his contract during Damian Priest’s defense, only for Priest to retain after CM Punk intervened.

What the pre-event stakes were
The ladder matches offered a contract opportunity
The winners of the men’s and women’s Money in the Bank ladder matches earned the contract for a title opportunity at a time of their choosing. That was the announced premise, not a promise that either holder would successfully cash in or win a championship. McIntyre and Stratton won their respective matches.

WWE’s preview named the six men’s participants and provided their qualification context. USA Network’s June 28 preview described the event’s five-match card and the contract’s premise: USA Network’s Money in the Bank 2024 preview.
Priest and Rollins had more than a title at stake
The pre-event stipulation made the World Heavyweight Championship bout consequential beyond the belt. If Priest won, Rollins could not challenge him for the title again for as long as Priest held it. If Rollins won, Priest would have to leave The Judgment Day. Priest retained, so Rollins could not challenge him under that condition.

Because Money in the Bank 2024 is a completed event, the clearest way to address “predictions” is to separate the stakes known beforehand from the outcomes. The pre-event material establishes the matchups, the contract opportunity and the Priest–Rollins stipulation; it does not establish a specific writer’s dated forecast. The actual winners were McIntyre, Stratton, Zayn, Priest and The Bloodline.
