What happens to Ekko and Heimerdinger in Act 2?
Act 2 covers episodes 4 through 6. By its final episode, Ekko and Heimerdinger have been caught in the Anomaly alongside Jayce. Jayce’s reappearance does not bring them back with him: at the episode 6 endpoint, the show leaves their whereabouts unresolved. Netflix’s official Season 2 guide presents Heimerdinger as working with Ekko to find a solution, rather than simply advising him.

What is the Anomaly?
The Anomaly is connected to Viktor’s Hexcore. In Netflix’s production feature, Fortiche art director Julien Georgel describes the spherical anomaly as “the source of the energy that’s slowly corrupting the universe.” That is commentary on how the anomaly is visualized; it is not a full explanation of its in-universe mechanics. Netflix’s feature on how Season 2 was made supports that connection, but does not establish exactly where Ekko and Heimerdinger are or what the Anomaly has done to them.
What is still unknown at the episode 6 ending?
- Whether Ekko and Heimerdinger can return to the material realm.
- Where they are after being caught in the Anomaly.
- What happens to them after Act 2.
Those questions are left open at the Act 2 endpoint. An answer from a later episode would go beyond what viewers know at the end of episode 6.
