The follow-up recap reported that he reached 343 pounds by the end of the episode, but had not qualified for skin-removal surgery. That is the latest supported on-screen update; his weight and health status after the 2025 episode are not established by the available reporting.
Which episodes feature Lucas Higdon?
Parade identifies Higdon’s original appearance as My 600-Lb Life Season 10, Episode 9. TLC’s official Where Are They Now? listing includes “S10 | E6 Michael and Lucas,” with the synopsis: “Lucas was doing great until a bit of backsliding caused problems.” These episode numbers refer to different programs: one is the original series and the other its follow-up. TLC’s episode listing describes the spin-off as catching up with Dr. Now’s patients.

What happened in his original episode?
According to Parade’s April 16, 2025 recap of the televised story, viewers first met Higdon at age 33 and 619 pounds. The account says Dr. Now set an initial goal of losing 30 pounds in four weeks; Higdon returned at 590 pounds. Parade then reports he weighed 539 pounds after a further two months, 515 pounds before gastric sleeve surgery, and 469 pounds at a postoperative check-in. These are figures from Parade’s recap, not independently verified medical records.
Parade also reproduced Higdon’s words from the program: “I dread waking up in this body every morning,” and, “And the stuff I have to go through just to have a normal day is painful on every level.”

How did the follow-up end?
Parade’s recap of the follow-up reports that Higdon weighed 352 pounds at two years and three months into his journey, 347 pounds at two years and five months, and 343 pounds at two years and eight months. The episode also addressed excess skin and ongoing mental-health concerns as his progress stalled. Parade says he spoke with psychologist Dr. Matthew Paradise and had not qualified for skin-removal surgery by the end of the episode.

The latest supported account here is the televised follow-up recapped by Parade in April 2025. That report mentioned Higdon sharing updates on Instagram and described a selfie dated March 5, but a photograph does not establish a person’s weight, health, or continued progress. The sources do not establish his current weight or medical status, or whether he later underwent skin-removal surgery.
