People en Español reported on May 10, 2007, that José Trinidad Marín was found guilty of six of the nine sexual abuse charges he faced in court. The report identified Marín as Jenni Rivera’s former husband and said the charges involved Rivera’s two daughters and younger sister. Those are the report’s account; this article does not independently verify the verdict against court records.
What verdict did People en Español report?
The May 10, 2007, article’s subheadline says Marín was found guilty of six of the nine charges he faced in court. It does not establish here what happened with the remaining three charges, so the six-of-nine figure should not be read as a complete account of the case’s disposition.
The article described the charges as involving sexual abuse of Rivera’s two daughters and her younger sister. That description is attributed to People en Español; the available account does not independently establish the underlying allegations or provide trial evidence.
What did the report say about the case timeline?
People en Español said Marín was captured in April 2006 after being on the run for nine years, and that he was released on bond in October. The extracted article text does not state the year of that October, so it cannot be specified from this account.

How did Jenni Rivera describe the trial?
As recounted by People en Español, Rivera spoke about the difficulty of revisiting painful events during the trial and connected speaking publicly with helping others in recovery. The article attributed this statement to Rivera, referring to an interview from the previous October:
“Yes, we had to relive things that we had perhaps already put behind us… but I think that’s necessary for a complete recovery, for what I feel is my mission, which is to help other people who may have gone through the same things or worse things. I feel compassion for him, I feel sorry for him, because I’m okay,”
