Valerie Bertinelli’s striking blonde look was temporary: she wore a wig, not a confirmed permanent hair-color change. She shared the look on Instagram on November 10, 2025, with the caption “New hair who dis?”
Was Valerie Bertinelli’s blonde hair real?
No permanent blonde dye job was reported. TV Insider quoted Bertinelli clarifying in an Instagram Story, “So, yes, it’s a wig. And I have no idea how to get this off!” TV Insider’s report also said she hinted the look was for an upcoming project, but did not name it.
Why was she wearing the blonde wig?
Good Housekeeping reported that Bertinelli wore the wig while filming an episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. That is the reported filming context; the available coverage does not establish that the episode was the unnamed project TV Insider mentioned. Good Housekeeping’s account described her November 10 post and the filming.
What happened after the blonde look?
The next day, Bertinelli posted “Back to the real me 🥰,” according to Good Housekeeping. The follow-up framed the blonde style as a fun change with hair and makeup, followed by a return to her familiar brown hair.

Us Weekly reported that Bertinelli credited celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton in connection with the look. Its report does not identify a wig brand or model, and the reporting reviewed does not establish its construction, price, or retailer. Us Weekly’s report names Appleton but does not identify a specific product.
