In a September 2024 update reported by What’s on Netflix, Joe Taslim, who played Li Yong, said Season 3 was the last and the story would not continue. Max had cancelled the series in December 2023; Netflix’s later acquisition of non-exclusive rights to the existing seasons was not reported as a revival.
What Joe Taslim said about Warrior Season 4
What’s on Netflix reported on September 23, 2024, that Taslim said the series would not continue. The outlet reproduced his statement: “So many times, wherever I go, people come to me and say thank you for Warrior. Now I know the true meaning of an actor. It goes way above entertainment. Season 3 is our last season, we don’t have the chance to continue the story. But still so grateful. Thank You” (What’s on Netflix).
This is a reported 2024 update, not a new announcement. The quotation is attributed to Taslim through that report; the report’s account is the available basis for the statement.
Why Season 4 was in doubt
Max cancelled Warrior in December 2023, and it was not returning for a fourth season on that service, TVLine reported on December 18, 2023. The same report said Netflix had acquired non-exclusive rights to the first three seasons (TVLine).
