What is Jenna Ortega’s favorite color? Red is the answer reported by a fan-maintained reference page, which attributes it to an Instagram Live. The underlying recording and its date are not provided on that page, so this is a reported preference—not a recently verified or necessarily current one.
Why red is the reported answer
The fan reference page JennaOrtega.world’s “The Details” lists red as Ortega’s favorite color and links the claim to an Instagram Live. Because the page is not the recording itself and gives no date for the stream, the careful answer is that red is reported as her favorite—not that a primary source confirms it as her current preference.
What Ortega has said about other colors
Several of Ortega’s interview comments mention colors, but they describe particular settings—clothing, a fashion collection, makeup, or nails—rather than naming a different overall favorite.
Black and white in her clothing
In an Allure interview about how playing Wednesday Addams influenced her beauty routine, Ortega said: “I didn’t realize how much I like the color black and I didn’t realize how much I like white button-ups, but it’s become a thing.” She was describing an evolving style, not identifying black or white as her favorite color.

Lilac and purple in an Adidas collection
Discussing an Adidas collection with ELLE Mexico, Ortega said she does not wear much color but appreciates a lilac/purple shade because it looks good on everyone and pushes her to try something different. That is praise for a particular shade and collaboration, not a statement about her single favorite hue.
Brownish red in a lipstick collection
In a Grazia Singapore interview, Ortega called Redwood Star her favorite shade from the Rouge Dior On Stage collection. She described it as a brownish red that suits her and works for everyday wear. The preference is specific to that lipstick collection; it does not establish her overall favorite color.

Nail colors
Who What Wear reports Ortega likes nude pink, deep dark wine, and black for nails. These are nail-color preferences, another context distinct from a general favorite-color answer.

In a March 2023 ELLE interview, Ortega discusses deciding what Tara Carpenter wears, along with the character’s favorite color, makeup, and sense of humor. The passage concerns how she developed Tara for Scream VI; it does not reveal Ortega’s own favorite color.
