When does Untamed Season 2 come out?
Netflix has not announced a release date. Its March 4, 2026 Tudum update said a date had not been set, and the current Netflix Media Center listing describes Season 2 as “coming soon” in the United States. No premiere month, quarter, or year is established by those official updates.
Is Untamed coming back?
Yes. Netflix renewed Untamed after its first season had initially been announced as a six-episode limited series. Netflix reported on March 4, 2026, that Season 2 was in production on O‘ahu and the island of Hawai‘i. Those are the announced production locations; the story is set at Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park.
Where is Season 2 set, and what is the story?
Season 1 followed Kyle Turner’s investigation of a death in Yosemite National Park. The next season moves him to Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park, where he investigates another mysterious death. Netflix’s official logline points to local tensions and the park’s volatile landscape as forces shaping the case.

The change is more than a new backdrop: Turner is outside the Yosemite environment he knows, facing a different park and its local community. Co-creators Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith described the move as a chance to explore “the pristine landscapes and cultural identity of a very different national park” and put Turner “in a new state of mind, outside the comfort of Yosemite,” in Netflix Tudum’s February 6, 2026 report. Mark L. Smith later said the shift meant “putting Kyle on his back foot, making him very uncomfortable,” according to the March 4 update.

Eric Bana returns as Kyle Turner. Netflix Tudum’s March 4, 2026 cast announcement named the following additional performers and roles:
