What was Halloween Horror Nights 2024?
Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) was a seasonal horror event at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando. Universal Orlando’s event guide listed the 2024 dates as select nights from August 30 through November 3. Its official map identified the event as separately ticketed, so a regular park ticket alone did not include event admission. The operator announced ten haunted houses, five scare zones and the live show Nightmare Fuel: Nocturnal Circus. The descriptions below reflect Universal’s published premises; they are not independent rankings or reports of guest experiences.

The 2024 lineup paired recognizable film and monster properties with original stories. The categories below describe the concepts and their source familiarity, not a measured comparison of how frightening or successful each house was.

Film and established-franchise houses
- A Quiet Place drew on A Quiet Place and A Quiet Place Part II. Its route moved through settings including a farmhouse, woods and a foundry, while the creatures hunted by sound.
- Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire brought the film’s supernatural threat into the event, including the escaped specter Garraka and the prospect of a second Ice Age.
- Insidious: The Further used figures from the film world, including the Red-Faced Demon and KeyFace.
- Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines centered on a conflict involving Saskia Van Helsing, the Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula’s daughter, She-Wolf and Anck-su-namun.
- Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America featured La Muerte, Tlahuelpuchi, La Lechuza and El Silbón.
Original concepts
- Slaughter Sinema 2 used a fictional drive-in as a frame for creature features, grindhouse gore, spaghetti westerns and other B-movie styles.
- The Museum: Deadly Exhibits took place in a folklore museum where an evil was released from the Rotting Stone.
- Major Sweets Candy Factory turned a field trip into a sinister factory visit, with samples transforming children into candy-themed killers.
- Goblin’s Feast set its story in a goblin village populated by goblins, orcs, hobgoblins and witches.
- Triplets of Terror revolved around a birthday gathering where the Barmy triplets recreated their family’s murders.
This split offers a practical way to read the slate: the franchise houses provided familiar names and characters, while the original concepts supplied self-contained settings and premises. The lineup ranged from supernatural entities and monsters to slasher and darkly comic horror, but Universal’s descriptions do not establish a comparative intensity ranking.

A contemporaneous April 4, 2024 article listed single-night admission beginning at $82.99 plus tax, an Express add-on beginning at $129.99 plus tax, and a R.I.P.
