The report said the clips appeared to be missing CGI or other visual-effects work. Why the clips do not show the finished movie
The reporting distinguished the leaked material from the completed theatrical film. An effects-incomplete excerpt cannot establish how a scene looked in the finished release, and the reports do not establish the precise production stage represented by the footage. Director Jared Hess had separately discussed unfinished visual-effects shots in an April 7 interview about early marketing; that comment was not presented as a response to this leak.
