On 29 February 2024, boxer Ryan Garcia introduced Australian influencer Mikaela Testa as his girlfriend in an Instagram Story, while qualifying the relationship as “not super serious” at the time. He also said he would teach her to fight and floated a possible Misfits Boxing matchup; the report does not establish that a bout was booked.

PerthNow’s Kayla Sellwood reported on 29 February 2024 that Garcia shared a photo of himself with Testa and wrote that he loved her. In an Instagram Story, he described Testa as his new girlfriend, adding: “Not super serious at this time but she my boo.” He also said, “Ima teach her how to fight!”
Testa commented “love you bby ❤ always,” according to PerthNow. Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix independently noted the following day that Garcia had posted a picture of his new girlfriend, Australian influencer Mikaela Testa, with a caption about preparing her to fight.
Was a boxing match announced?
Garcia proposed a possible Misfits Boxing opportunity for Testa, writing: “No less then 500,000$ and percentage of PPV if it makes sense.” That was a reported proposal, not confirmation of a signed fight, a completed training program or a payment. Neither report establishes that Testa competed in a bout as a result of the post.

Why this is a 2024 story, not a current relationship update
The relationship post came after Garcia’s January 2024 divorce announcement involving model Andrea Celina. PerthNow reported that Garcia and Celina had married in 2021 after dating for three years, and that the divorce announcement came around the time he announced the birth of their second child.
Later coverage provides context but does not establish Garcia and Testa’s present relationship status. The South China Morning Post reported in April 2024 that Garcia had announced an engagement to Savannah Bond earlier that month. In October 2024, realestate.com.au described Testa with bodybuilder Maxwell Krause and reported that she said they had been living together for six months. These reports do not establish anyone’s relationship status on 8 October 2026.
