The band canceled that run in February 2026 after Dee Snider resigned for health reasons. Since then, the band has played a smaller set of dates with Sebastian Bach on lead vocals, and listings show more of those shows through December 2026. As of October 8, 2026, the revised shows are underway.
What the band announced in 2025
On September 10, 2025, Twisted Sister announced a worldwide return in 2026 to mark its 50th anniversary. The release, distributed through GlobeNewswire, called the planned run “TWISTED FOREVER, FOREVER TWISTED.” It named Joe “Seven” Franco on drums and Russell Pzütto on bass, with Dee Snider on vocals. No dates, cities, or venues were given at that point.
Snider’s statement in that release read: “If you’re lucky enough to be in a band that people still want to see after fifty years(!), how can you not answer the call? In 2026, Twisted Sister will hit stages around the world because WE STILL WANNA ROCK!!” That was the plan before it changed. It is not a description of the shows that were later played.
What changed in February 2026
Louder reported on February 6, 2026 that the anniversary comeback had been canceled after Snider resigned due to health concerns. According to the band’s statement as Louder relayed it, every show scheduled to begin on April 25 in São Paulo and continue through the summer was canceled, and the band’s future would be decided in the following weeks. The statement does not give a diagnosis, and this article does not add one.

Louder also quoted a statement prepared on Snider’s behalf: “The idea of slowing down is unacceptable to me. I’d rather walk away than be a shadow of my former self.”
The canceled Snider-led run and the Bach-fronted dates that followed are separate phases. The first was never completed as a tour, and the second is a selective run, not a replacement world tour.

The revised run with Sebastian Bach
On March 3, 2026, the band’s official news page announced Sebastian Bach as frontman for a handful of fall dates. Those shows are advertised as Twisted Sister featuring Sebastian Bach on lead vocals.
Louder reported the first dates for the revised lineup on April 8, 2026. Contemporary event and tour pages list Jay Jay French, Eddie Ojeda, Joe “Seven” Franco, and Russell Pzütto in the lineup alongside Bach.

The first public performance under the new arrangement was an August 28, 2026 show at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. The band played as Bent Brother for that date, and Louder described it as a warm-up for the later shows.

Louder reported a 17-song set at Starland Ballroom. It is one documented show, and setlists vary from night to night, so use it as an example of what the revised lineup has played rather than a fixed program for every date. The set mixes early Twisted Sister material, two Skid Row songs, and the band’s best-known singalong songs near the end.

Fan-maintained setlist.fm entries from 2026 are useful for comparing nights, though they are user-submitted and not checked by the band.
Before you buy tickets or travel
- Use the event link for the specific date. Ticketmaster and the band’s tour page are the main listings cited here. Confirm the event is still on sale.
- Check bag rules for the Niagara Falls show. Ticketmaster’s listing for the October 8 OLG Stage event says only small purses are permitted, and backpacks or large bags should be left at home.
- Do not plan around the canceled dates. The April 25 São Paulo start and the summer shows were canceled in February 2026 and do not carry over to the revised run.
- Expect a different lineup from the 2025 announcement. Snider was named in the original plan, but the dates listed here feature Bach.
Band background, with attribution
The Oregon State Fair’s artist biography says Twisted Sister played its first show on February 2, 1976, at the Turtleneck Inn in Hunter Mountain, New York. It credits the 1984 album Stay Hungry with producing two of the band’s signature songs. The fair’s page also gives these figures, which are the fair’s own claims and have not been checked against independent records:
- More than 35 million albums sold worldwide.
- 31 Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Multi-Platinum certifications across eight countries.
- “We’re Not Gonna Take It” ranked #3 on NPR’s “Songs That Unite Us” list, according to a 2018 entry on the page.
- The band has toured and headlined in more than 40 countries.
The same biography calls Stay Hungry multi-platinum. The page does not give a certification record for that album, so verify it in a certification database before repeating the claim as fact.
In short, the 2026 anniversary tour that was announced in 2025 did not happen as planned. The shows now on sale are a smaller, Bach-fronted run, and the dates listed beyond October 8 are subject to change.
