Rust Twitch Drops required linking Twitch to the Steam account that owned Rust, watching the campaign’s eligible stream, and claiming the reward on Twitch. The 2021 rewards are historical: Facepunch says missed Drop rounds have no other acquisition route, so an expired reward cannot be claimed now. The exact 2021 dates, skins, watch-time requirements, and xQc, Shroud, or Pokimane reward mappings are not established by the available official sources.
Can you still claim Rust Twitch Drops from 2021?
No. Facepunch’s general Drops guidance says there is no other way to obtain items from a missed Drop round. That means owning Rust or linking accounts now does not restore an expired 2021 reward. Facepunch’s notice that a particular event had ended and its rewards were unobtainable was for its 2020 event, not proof of the dates or rewards in 2021. Facepunch’s 2020 event notice is useful historical context, but should not be treated as a 2021 campaign record.

How Rust Twitch Drops worked
For a general Rust Drops campaign, the process involved linking Twitch and Steam through Facepunch’s Rust Drops page, enabling Drops, watching the eligible stream, and claiming the reward in Twitch when its progress requirement was met. Rust had to be owned on Steam for the item to be delivered. Facepunch’s Rust Drops page gives the account and campaign guidance; Twitch’s Drops explanation describes the claim and progress mechanics.
- Sign in and link accounts: On Facepunch’s Rust Drops page, sign in to Twitch and Steam, then pair the accounts. Confirm that the Steam account linked is the one that owns Rust.
- Enable Drops and check campaign conditions: Use the active campaign page to see which streams count and any required watch time. General Rust streams with Drops enabled may count for general rewards; a streamer-specific reward requires that creator’s channel.
- Watch and claim: Track progress in Twitch’s Drops inventory. When the campaign requirement is complete, claim the reward there; watching alone is not the same as completing the claim step.
- Allow delivery time: Facepunch says Steam delivery can take up to 10 minutes after claiming.
These are general/current instructions, not verified archival instructions for each 2021 campaign. Facepunch also says that watching multiple channels simultaneously does not earn multiple rewards.

Why a claimed Rust Drop may not appear
If the item has not arrived, first allow the stated delivery window. If it is still missing after 30 minutes, Facepunch recommends checking that the correct Steam account was linked and using its “Check for missing drops” function. See Facepunch’s missing-Drop support guidance.
- Check that the Twitch and Steam accounts were paired correctly.
- Verify that the linked Steam account owns Rust.
- Confirm in Twitch Drops inventory that the reward was claimed, rather than only watched toward.
- After 30 minutes, run Facepunch’s “Check for missing drops” check.
Were xQc, Shroud, and Pokimane tied to specific 2021 skins?
The official sources available here do not verify which 2021 rewards belonged to xQc, Shroud, or Pokimane, nor whether all three appeared in the same campaign. A creator-to-skin list or exact watch-time schedule would therefore be speculation. For streamer-specific Drops, the general rule is to watch that creator’s channel, but this does not establish that any named creator had a particular 2021 Rust reward.

What the 2020 event does—and does not—tell you
Facepunch’s announcement dated 12 November 2020 described a separate event with three exclusive items and thresholds of one hour for sunglasses, three hours for underwear, and six hours for a headset. Facepunch marks that event finished and says its items are unobtainable. Those figures belong only to the 2020 event; they should not be used as the 2021 schedule or skin list. Read the announcement.
