After the Toronto Raptors won their first NBA championship, WWE announced that Triple H congratulated the team with a custom WWE Championship bearing the Raptors’ logo. The June 10, 2019 announcement describes a team presentation—not the separately sold Toronto Raptors WWE Legacy Title Belt.
What WWE announced about the Raptors’ custom title
WWE’s June 10, 2019 announcement said Triple H congratulated the Raptors with a custom WWE Championship after the team captured its first NBA title. WWE said the belt featured the team’s logo. The announcement does not specify the custom belt’s materials, dimensions, price, or who ultimately received or retained it. Read WWE’s announcement.
The date needs context: the announcement is dated June 10, while the NBA Finals Game 6 that clinched the championship was played June 13. WWE’s page describes the team as champions, but its publication date precedes that game date; the two dates should not be treated as a straightforward announcement-after-the-win timeline.
How Toronto won its first NBA championship
The Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors 114–110 in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals to secure the franchise’s first championship. WWE’s article names Toronto among earlier NBA teams to receive custom WWE titles, including the Detroit Pistons in 2004, Dallas Mavericks in 2011, Miami Heat in 2013, Golden State Warriors in 2015, 2017 and 2018, and Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016.

The custom presentation belt and the retail belt are different items
WWE Shop separately lists a Toronto Raptors WWE Legacy Title Belt as officially licensed merchandise, product ID 201883995. That listing establishes a retail collectible, not that this is the same physical belt Triple H presented in 2019.

The belt was not the Raptors’ championship ring
The WWE title was a wrestling-themed team presentation, distinct from the NBA championship ring awarded to Raptors players and staff. NBA.com reported on the ring ceremony on October 23, 2019, and said Baron Championship Rings made the rings. Its account described a limited-time fan collection offered in partnership with the Raptors; that 2019 report does not establish present inventory or an ongoing program. NBA.com reported that the ring’s face contained 74 diamonds, representing the Raptors’ 74 wins in the 2018–19 season. The outlet also reported more than 640 diamonds, over 14 total carats, and a 1.25-carat diamond in the Larry O’Brien Trophy design. These are details reported in its 2019 account, not specifications of the WWE belt.

WWE framed team-logo championships as a way to recognize winners across leagues and competitions including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and Premier League. Its February 2019 article about the New England Patriots describes the same general practice: a custom WWE Championship sent after a championship victory and designed with the team logo. WWE’s Raptors article includes the promotional line, “A true champion needs a title around his or her waist to prove it.” It is WWE copy, not a direct quotation from Triple H about this gift; the announcement contains no specific Triple H quote about the presentation.
