Travis Kelce’s shirtless post-workout photos in Florida on May 20, 2025, showed his chest and back hair—and revived the story behind his “Big Yeti” nickname. The attention was lighthearted: Kelce joked about the nickname and the heat on the next day’s episode of New Heights.
What happened in the Florida photos?
Kelce was photographed after a workout on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. AS USA reported that he took off his shirt to towel off; People, in a report hosted by AOL, said he was leaving the workout with Ross Travis and Kumar Ferguson. The images showed his chest and back hair. AS USA’s May 22 report covered the viral photo and reactions, while People’s report hosted by AOL described the sighting and online response.
Why is Kelce called “Big Yeti”?
On New Heights, Jason Kelce recalled that Travis played pickup basketball while at Cincinnati. The players used shirts-and-skins teams, which meant Travis’s body hair was visible. As AS USA recounts the exchange, Travis connected the nickname to his beard, long hair, and body hair, saying the players on the court called him “Big Yeti.”
What did Travis Kelce say about the photos?
On the May 21, 2025, episode of New Heights, Kelce joked about being hairy and said heat did not suit him. AS USA reported his remarks as: “I’m a furry son of a b***h,” and “Me and heat just don’t do well together.” The comments framed the moment as a joke, not a grooming announcement.

Reacting to the photos in comments reported by AS USA, Kirk Cousins joked, “God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,” then added, “That’s awesome. Good for her.” This was Cousins’s reaction; it is not evidence of Swift’s own view. Neither report cited a statement from Swift about the photos.
How did fans react, and was there Big Yeti merchandise?
People’s report, hosted by AOL, reproduced a commenter saying, “Hair is natural my dudes.” TDPel Media’s result reported one fan asking, “Taylor Swift is okay with that?” These are individual examples in secondary coverage, not a representative measure of public opinion.

People’s report also said the New Heights merchandise store had two Big Yeti T-shirt designs at the time of publication on May 22, 2025. That report does not establish current stock, prices, sizing, or whether the designs remain available. It also does not show that Kelce used or recommended a grooming product.
