Travis Kelce called Taylor Swift’s “Wood” “a great song” and said he loves when she references him. He made the brief, playful comments on the October 8, 2025 episode of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with his brother Jason. Kelce did not explicitly confirm that the song is about his anatomy.
What did Travis Kelce say about “Wood”?
Jason asked, “How do you feel about ‘Wood’? Let’s ask this.” Travis laughed and replied, “It’s a great song.” He added that any song in which Swift references him makes him happy, saying, “I love that girl, what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in any way…” The Daily Beast reported the exchange on October 8, 2025; its account presents a short back-and-forth, not an extended interview or detailed explanation. The Daily Beast’s report
Why did the exchange get attention?
“Wood,” from Swift’s album The Life of a Showgirl, uses suggestive double entendre. Jason steered the conversation toward that innuendo, teasing his brother as Travis praised the song. A lyric about “New Heights of manhood” also plays on the name of the Kelces’ podcast, a connection noted by the Associated Press. The Associated Press’s album explainer
Did Kelce confirm what the song is about?
No. His comments show that he liked the track and appreciated Swift’s references to him, but he did not directly say that the song is about his anatomy. The song’s title, suggestive lyrics and Jason’s teasing prompted that interpretation; it should not be treated as a confirmed explanation from Kelce. The Independent also covered his reaction the day after the episode. The Independent’s follow-up
