The first is a naturally conjoined pumpkin styled as a Weezing-inspired Pokémon; the second is an Among Us-themed front yard with workers and fallen spacemen. They are dated examples, not evidence of current trends or independently verified builds.
What makes these Reddit decoration ideas work?
Start with the shape you have
The Tech Times article describes a double pumpkin whose existing form suggested Weezing, the Pokémon. Rather than forcing a standard round pumpkin into a design, the maker treated its unusual shape as part of the character. That is a useful creative prompt for pumpkin decorating: look at the pumpkin from several angles, then choose a face or character that fits its contours.
Build a scene, not just a single prop
The article’s Among Us example used workers and fallen spacemen in a front-yard display. The idea is coordination: several simple pieces can communicate a setting or story when they share a theme. The example dates to 2020; it does not establish that the build remains current, safe, or weather-resistant.

Keep carving and visitor routes safer
Let adults handle the carving
Indiana’s Department of Homeland Security advises that young children draw a jack-o’-lantern face while parents do the carving. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) also identifies pumpkin carving as an injury concern. Its 2022 Halloween release reported that 48% of incidents in the set described there were related to pumpkin carving; its 2023 release reported 55% for that release’s stated set. Those percentages should not be read as a year-over-year trend because the underlying datasets and definitions have not been established as comparable.

Clear the route to the door
Indiana DHS advises removing dangerous objects and trip hazards from the yard. Keep decorations out of the path visitors use to reach the door, and consider whether ropes, cords, props, or display supports could be hard to see. A dramatic layout is not worth blocking safe access.

Plan for decorations that might be taken
A Reddit discussion posted July 29, 2026, asks how to deter theft of decorations and includes anecdotal advice. It reflects a real concern raised by an individual community member, not an evaluated security guide. Think through placement before setting out small or portable pieces: avoid leaving them where they narrow a path, and consider bringing them in when they are not on display. The discussion does not establish that any particular deterrent works.
