There is not enough comparable, reliable information to rank 10 U.S. Big Brother winners by net worth. The figures available support a ranking of reported franchise winnings instead—and winnings are not the same as personal wealth. The clearest individual net-worth figure located is a third-party estimate for Dr. Will Kirby, not a verified financial disclosure.
Why a top 10 by net worth cannot be verified
Net worth is the value of a person’s assets minus debts. A competition prize reveals only one source of income; it does not establish what a winner owns, owes, earns elsewhere, or ultimately keeps after taxes and expenses. A valid ranking would need comparable estimates for multiple winners, with consistent scope, dates, named sources, and transparent methods. The available reporting does not provide that set.
TV Insider’s October 5, 2026 leaderboard covers reported franchise winnings, not contestants’ net worth. Treating its prize totals as personal fortunes would answer a different question.
The net-worth estimate that is available
AOL’s July 26, 2026 article attributes an estimated $5 million net worth for Dr. Will Kirby to Celebrity Net Worth. This is one third-party estimate; the article does not establish an audited disclosure or a methodology that would make the number comparable with estimates for other winners. It cannot support a ten-person ranking.

How Rick Devens reached the reported total
Paramount’s October 1, 2026 announcement says Devens won Big Brother 28’s $750,000 grand prize and a $50,000 America’s Favorite Player award. Those two season awards add up to the $800,000 reported from that season; TV Insider’s $810,000 franchise total includes winnings beyond those two awards. Paramount also says Taylor Brown received the season’s $75,000 second-place prize, and identifies Devens as the first Survivor castaway to win Big Brother.
How to read prize totals without confusing them for wealth
- Check what is being counted. A franchise-winnings total may combine a grand prize, fan-voted award, runner-up prize, or competition rewards across appearances.
- Keep the source and date attached. The figures above are TV Insider’s reported totals as of its October 5, 2026 article; a later appearance or award could change a cumulative total.
- Do not infer take-home pay. Prize amounts do not account for tax, spending, investments, debts, or income outside the show.
- Require comparable evidence for a wealth ranking. Estimates need a named source, date, consistent definition, and disclosed method before they can be fairly ranked.
What audience figures do—and do not—tell us
Paramount reports that Big Brother 28 averaged 5.1 million viewers in seven-day multiplatform viewing and generated 14.8 billion minutes watched. These publisher-reported season metrics help describe the program’s reach; they do not establish a contestant’s net worth or change the distinction between prize money and wealth.
