Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered launched on February 14, 2025. It bundles three games—The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness—with updated visuals, a switch between classic and modern graphics, and a choice of modern or tank-style controls, according to the publisher.
What games are included in Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered?
The collection brings together three entries originally released in 1999, 2000 and 2003. Crystal Dynamics’ official descriptions outline the premise of each:
- Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation: Lara discovers the tomb of Set, setting an ancient prophecy in motion.
- Tomb Raider: Chronicles: Lara’s friends share stories from her past at her memorial.
- Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness: Lara is a murder suspect and fugitive drawn into a conspiracy involving alchemical experiments and ancient artifacts.
These are the publisher’s summaries of the games, rather than a guide to their stories. Crystal Dynamics’ collection page lists the included titles and descriptions.
What does the remaster change?
The official launch announcement describes improved visuals for environments, characters and artifacts. Players can switch between classic and modern graphics during play, rather than being locked into one presentation mode.

What happened with the AI voices in the 2025 update?
Aspyr said an August 14, 2025 patch for the collection contained unauthorized generative AI voiceover material. The company attributed the changes to an external partner and said they were made without Aspyr’s knowledge or approval. Aspyr also said a subsequent update removed all AI voiceover content while keeping improvements from the previous patch, and apologized to Françoise Cadol and the Tomb Raider community. Those are Aspyr’s statements on its product press page, not independent verification of the changes.
