Tom Brady’s confirmed FOX broadcast debut was Cowboys at Browns on September 8, 2024. FOX announced a slate of featured “America’s Game of the Week” matchups for the season, but it did not confirm that Brady would call every game on that list. A May 2024 schedule published by Sporting News projected possible later appearances; it said Week 1 was the only guaranteed game and left Week 18 undetermined.
Brady’s confirmed FOX debut
FOX announced that Brady would join Kevin Burkhardt in its lead broadcast crew, alongside sideline reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi. The crew’s first game was Cowboys at Browns on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at 4:25 p.m. ET. FOX’s crew announcement named the assignment, and NFL.com reported that Brady called the matchup “Amazing” at FOX’s 2024 Upfront event.
What FOX announced for America’s Game of the Week
FOX’s 2024 preview identified the following featured matchups and dates. These were FOX’s announced games for the program, not confirmation that Brady personally called each one.
| Week | Featured matchup | Date |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cowboys at Browns | September 8 |
| 3 | Ravens at Cowboys | September 22 |
| 6 | Lions at Cowboys | October 13 |
| 7 | Chiefs at 49ers | October 20 |
| 9 | Lions at Packers | November 3 |
| 12 | 49ers at Packers | November 24 |
| 13 | Giants at Cowboys | November 28 (Thanksgiving) |
| 14 | Bills at Rams | December 8 |
| 15 | Steelers at Eagles | December 15 |
| 16 | Steelers at Ravens | Saturday, December 21 |
| 17 | Cowboys at Eagles | December 29 |
FOX said the Week 18 America’s Game of the Week would be determined later. Its featured-matchup preview is useful for identifying possible dates, but the games should not be mistaken for Brady-specific assignments.

The Week 16 date differs from FOX’s featured-game preview, which listed Steelers at Ravens for Saturday, December 21. That discrepancy is one reason to treat the Sporting News slate as a contemporaneous projection rather than a confirmed schedule. The full projected list and its caveat appeared in Sporting News’ May 2024 schedule article.
