Khaby Lame’s Fortnite Outfit first appeared in the Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass. Epic now says Battle Pass items may return to the Fortnite Shop at least 18 months after a pass expires, but it does not guarantee any individual item will come back. Whether the Outfit is in the live Shop now is unconfirmed, so check the in-game Item Shop before buying V-Bucks or a gift card.
How Khaby Lame first arrived in Fortnite
Epic Games announced Khaby Lame as an Icon Series addition and a Battle Pass Outfit for Chapter 4 Season 4: Last Resort on August 25, 2023. The Battle Pass was the original way to obtain the Outfit; that does not mean the expired pass can still be bought or completed.
Epic’s announcement of Chapter 4 Season 4 identifies Khaby Lame among the season’s Battle Pass characters.
Can you get the Khaby Lame skin now?
Possibly, if Epic offers the Outfit in the Item Shop. Epic’s current Battle Pass policy says: “The items in a Battle Pass may be available for purchase in the Fortnite Shop at least 18 months after the Battle Pass expires.” The word “may” matters: the policy allows possible Shop availability after that period, but does not promise that Khaby Lame’s Outfit will return.

The live availability and current price of the Outfit are unconfirmed here. Check the Item Shop inside Fortnite for the current listing before spending money. The official Fortnite Item Shop page is also a place to look, but the in-game Shop is the practical check if you are about to make a purchase.
How to buy it if it appears in the Shop
- Open Fortnite and go to the Item Shop. Look for the Khaby Lame Outfit and confirm it is actually listed.
- Check the displayed price and purchase terms. Do not rely on an old price or assume the Outfit is available because it was once in a Battle Pass.
- Use V-Bucks to complete the purchase. Epic describes V-Bucks as Fortnite’s in-game currency, used to buy Outfits and other items.
If you need account funds, V-Bucks or a Fortnite gift card can fund Fortnite purchases, subject to regional availability and applicable account and platform conditions. A gift card does not directly unlock Khaby Lame’s Outfit, and buying currency does not ensure the Outfit will be available when you are ready to purchase it. Check Epic’s V-Bucks card information and Fortnite gift card details for the options available to you.

What to do if the Outfit is not listed
If you cannot find Khaby Lame in the Item Shop, there is no confirmed way to unlock the Outfit immediately through the expired Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass. Epic’s policy leaves open the possibility of later Shop availability, but does not establish a schedule or guarantee a return. Check the Shop again on a later visit rather than buying currency on the assumption that the Outfit is about to appear.
