This is a curated selection of ten highly rated matches—not a top ten Meltzer published or a confirmed career-wide ranking. The six five-star matches are tied; they appear in chronological order, followed by three recent matches rated below five stars.
How to read this list
Meltzer’s star ratings are critical judgments, not objective measurements of quality. F4W/WON cautions that “ratings and reviews are subjective and shouldn’t affect your ability to enjoy what you like from wherever you like.” The available listings establish the ratings below, but do not provide Meltzer commentary on every match. The order within the five-star group is chronological, not a claim that one is better than another.
Six matches in the selection are rated five stars; only three are singles bouts. The remaining entries are multi-person matches in which Allin is one participant. The final three are additional recent high ratings, not proven to be the next three highest-rated Allin matches of his career.

What about Darby Allin vs. Jon Moxley at All Out 2025?
The reported rating for their Coffin Match conflicts: ITNWWE lists 5.5 stars, while IWNerd lists 4.5 stars. Without resolving the difference against the original Wrestling Observer Newsletter issue, neither rating should be presented as definitive, and the match cannot safely be used to anchor a precise ranking. ITNWWE’s All Out ratings; IWNerd’s All Out ratings.
Are these really the ten best Darby Allin matches?
They are ten well-supported selections from reported Meltzer ratings, not an authoritative top ten. The available sources identify six five-star matches featuring Allin, then offer three additional recent ratings and a disputed All Out result. They do not establish a complete, ranked career list. Read the stars as one critic’s signal of acclaim, while judging match formats and your own preferences separately.
