SpongeBob SquarePants joined Magic: The Gathering through three Secret Lair releases on March 24, 2025—not today. The collaboration paired Bikini Bottom characters with existing Magic cards, alongside a spell-and-token drop and ten themed basic lands. Wizards of the Coast originally listed each drop at $29.99 USD non-foil or $39.99 USD rainbow foil.
When did the SpongeBob Secret Lair release?
Wizards of the Coast announced that the Secret Lair Our Boss Is on Vacation Superdrop released March 24, 2025, at 9 a.m. PST. The Superdrop included three SpongeBob SquarePants releases. Its announcement described the show as having “over 300 episodes across 15 seasons.”
The date matters: this is a 2025 collaboration, not a new launch on October 8, 2026. The announcement said quantities were limited and products would be removed from the storefront over time; it does not establish current stock at Wizards, Amazon, or other sellers. Read Wizards’ official Superdrop announcement.
What SpongeBob Magic cards were included?
The three drops took different approaches: one reimagined Magic cards as Bikini Bottom characters, one collected spells and a Food Token, and one offered themed basic lands.
