Did “Mi Camino” win Best Original Song?
No. The winner was “El Mal,” also from Emilia Pérez. The Academy’s ceremony record identifies “El Mal” as the winner and “Mi Camino” as a nominee. The film therefore had two songs nominated in the category, but only one won. The Academy Awards Database also records the “Mi Camino” entry and its songwriting credits.
Who wrote “Mi Camino”?
The Academy credits Camille and Clément Ducol for both the music and lyrics of “Mi Camino.” Selena Gomez performs the song in the film, but the Academy’s songwriting credit names Ducol and Camille as its music and lyric creators.

How did the film fare at the 2025 Oscars?
Emilia Pérez received 13 nominations and won two awards at the 97th Academy Awards, according to Netflix’s 2025 awards recap: Supporting Actress for Zoe Saldaña and Original Song for “El Mal.” Those are film-level results, not a measure of “Mi Camino”’s vote total or individual odds.
What does the result say about the songs’ competition?
Only the outcome is established by the official records: “El Mal” won, while “Mi Camino” was nominated. The Academy’s published results do not provide vote totals or an explanation comparing why one song prevailed over the other, so the award record cannot support a claim about the margin or the voters’ reasoning.
