Entertainment Tonight reported that Raven-Symoné and Miranda Pearman-Maday met in 2015. In a later account quoted by Us Weekly, Miranda described the setting: “The first time we met was at a gay bar in West Hollywood where Symoné was a host of a karaoke night.”

The exact start of their dating relationship is not established publicly. Us Weekly noted that Raven described an early photo in a June 2020 Instagram comment as the start of their relationship in “#2015/2016,” indicating an approximate timeframe rather than a precise first date.
June 2020: A proposal, then a private wedding
Raven proposed during quarantine at a mountain in Malibu that held personal meaning for her, according to Vogue’s July 2020 interview with the couple. They married on June 16, 2020, in a small ceremony at choreographer Debbie Allen’s Los Angeles home. Vogue described a one-hour gathering.

The wedding became public on June 18, when the Los Angeles Times published its announcement. Raven’s announcement language, reproduced by Us Weekly, read: “I got married to a woman who understands me from trigger to joy, from breakfast to midnight snack, from stage to home.” Miranda told Vogue of the wedding, “It was perfect.”
What they wore
Vogue reported that Raven styled their wedding looks. Miranda wore a white Gucci jumpsuit and a veil that Vogue said cost $4 on Amazon at the time. That is a historical price for the veil mentioned in the interview, not a current price or confirmation that the same product remains available.

April 2021: They begin making videos together
Us Weekly reported that the couple began working together on their YouTube channel, 8 pm, in April 2021. The channel featured cooking and videos about domestic life.
December 2022 and March 2023: Public appearances
Us Weekly’s retrospective timeline notes that Raven and Miranda appeared at the Creative Arts Children’s & Family Emmys in December 2022 and the WIF Oscar Party in March 2023. These are documented examples, not a complete record of their public appearances.
