What did Chris Rock say about infidelity?
In 2017, Rock spoke publicly about infidelity and his conduct during the marriage. ABC News reported that he described believing, at the time, that being the family breadwinner gave him license to behave as he did, and acknowledged that he had hurt his family. ABC News’ report attributes those comments to Rock, not to Compton-Rock.

CBS News, reporting on Rock’s remarks to Rolling Stone, quoted him saying: “I wasn’t a good husband a lot of the times.” CBS News’ account is another record of Rock’s perspective. These later comments provide his public explanation of his own behavior; they do not amount to a complete account of the marriage from both former spouses.
What has Compton-Rock said about life after the separation?
The clearest statement from Compton-Rock in the sources available is the 2014 announcement: her children were her priority, and she wanted the family’s privacy respected. Rock spoke in 2015 about his own difficult days after the separation and said his daughters were doing well and lived nearby, according to The Guardian. His account describes his experience, not hers.
