The same story’s “comeback” angle referred to new music, including the single “Heartbreaker,” and the band’s continuing touring—not a newly announced 2026 return. The weight-loss account is historical reporting, not a current health update.
What the report says about Reno’s weight loss
A syndicated Z94 report, which says it is relaying a Rolling Stone story, attributes the 50-pound loss to a period of about six months. The original Rolling Stone article and the report’s publication date were not established, so the figure should be understood as a claim carried by that report rather than an independently confirmed or newly reported fact.

The report quotes Reno as saying, “I got tired of complaining about my knees being sore.” It describes him changing his diet and exercising, and quotes his description of eating fruit, vegetables and fish while avoiding salad dressings, much oil, butter, sugar and flour. These are reported personal choices, not medical advice or a recommended plan for readers.
What “plots comeback” meant
In the syndicated story, “comeback” referred to Reno’s interest in releasing new songs and to “Heartbreaker,” a new Loverboy single discussed in that reporting. It also described the band as continuing to tour. The wording does not establish a new comeback announcement in 2026.

Loverboy and Mike Reno
Loverboy’s official biography says the band formed in 1978 after Reno met guitarist Paul Dean in Calgary, and identifies Get Lucky as one of its notable albums. The biography calls the album a four-million-seller; that is the band’s own published figure, not an independently audited current sales total. It also lists songs including “Turn Me Loose” and “Working for the Weekend” and says the group continues to tour.
The band’s official Mike Reno page identifies him as a Canadian musician and Loverboy’s lead singer, and summarizes selected career and soundtrack work. Fans looking for official band information can use the biography’s links to its store and tour pages; availability and event details can change.

A Noise11 interview report dated January 17, 2026 discussed planned Australian performances and Reno’s recording preferences. It documents what was planned at that time, not whether a particular event is currently taking place or has tickets available. Check the band’s official tour information for current dates and status.
