Ellie’s cousin Jordan questioned whether Ben joined Married at First Sight for fame after hearing about his ambitions to work as a tour guide and make podcasts. PerthNow’s recap of the exchange reports that Ben gave producers a hesitant answer when asked whether his reasons for applying were right: “Yeah… I think so. Yeah.” The exchange raises a question about his motives; it does not establish them.
Why did Ellie’s cousin question Ben?
In a PerthNow entertainment recap published on 2 February 2024, Zach Margolius reports that newlywed Ben spoke about ambitions involving tour guiding and podcasting. Those plans prompted suspicion from Jordan, identified as Ellie’s cousin, who challenged Ben’s intentions on the show.

Was Ben on MAFS for fame?
That is Jordan’s accusation as reported by PerthNow, not a verified finding about Ben’s motive. The account is a secondary recap; it does not include primary episode footage or an official transcript, so the exchange should be understood through the report’s attribution rather than treated as proof.
