What led to Amy’s arrest?
Contemporaneous reports said officers responded to Tennessee Safari Park in Alamo, Tennessee, after a report of a possible camel bite. The sheriff department’s account, as relayed by news reports, described officers’ observations in a vehicle. Those descriptions were law-enforcement allegations, not findings of guilt.
On September 4, 2024, the reports said Amy and Brian Scott Lovvorn faced charges that included illegal possession of Schedule I and Schedule VI substances and two counts of child endangerment. The reports also said both were released on bond on September 3, 2024, and cited a $10,000 bond for each. These details describe the case as reported at that time, not its present status.

What is known—and not known—about the case?
The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department statement reproduced in Yahoo’s report said: “The charges and allegations referenced in this release are merely accusations of criminal conduct and not evidence.” The report also quoted the statement that a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and convicted through due process.
The sources establish neither a court finding nor a later custody arrangement. They do not establish Amy’s final case disposition, current legal status, later child-services findings, or the children’s longer-term custody. The handoff report should not be read as evidence of a custody change.
