Sparks and her husband, Dana Isaiah, welcomed their son on May 2, 2018. ABC News described DJ as Sparks’s first child in its May 6, 2018 report. Entertainment Tonight reported his full name as Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr. in its May 5, 2018 coverage.

He is commonly called DJ. ABC News reproduced Sparks’s birth announcement, which ended, “Go DJ!”
What later coverage says
Later sources continue to refer to DJ as Sparks’s son: an Access Hollywood interview page describes her raising him with Dana Isaiah, and a 2023 FamilySearch recap also identifies DJ as her son.

Those references corroborate the reports about DJ, but they are not an official, current count of Sparks’s family. The sources cited here do not establish whether there has been a later family update.
