The photo feature is published by Brides. Photographer Jenna Foxton captured the day at North Cadbury Court, a Somerset venue a few hours from London and about 20 minutes from the area where Thompson-Roylance grew up.
When and where did Madeline Brewer get married?
Brewer and Thompson-Roylance married on July 12, 2025, at North Cadbury Court in Somerset, England. Brewer said she was drawn to the location because of her husband’s roots: “Knowing where Jack’s from and knowing what the southwest of England looks like, I would have wanted to get married there no matter what.”
The wedding’s look: English wildflowers, ribbons and two moods
The couple described the intended atmosphere as “Bridgerton by day, Saltburn by night.” English wildflowers inspired the palette, while ribbons appeared throughout the design. The ribbon motif also drew inspiration from Glastonbury Festival’s Ribbon Tower, bringing a playful festival reference into the country-house setting.

Madeline Brewer’s vintage wedding looks
For the ceremony, Brewer chose a secondhand strapless Vera Wang Luxe gown. Vintage bridal shop Happy Isles believed the dress dated to 2005; that is an estimate, not a confirmed production date. She changed into a vintage Valentino gown after the ceremony. For the welcome party, she wore a vintage Tom Ford for Gucci look. These are descriptions of what Brewer wore at the event, not confirmation that the same garments are currently available to buy.
Personal details from the ceremony and reception
The couple planned the wedding themselves, without a wedding planner. Coordinating across time zones and navigating exchange rates were among the challenges. Brewer later reflected, “Planning was, in retrospect, a great deal of fun!”

Thompson-Roylance’s twin brother and business partner, Boris, officiated. The ceremony included a candle unity ritual and a group sing-along before the vows. At the reception, the band Faux Real performed, with part of the entertainment concealed inside a human-sized cake prop. Costco sheet cakes and a dance party added to the celebratory, informal finish.
Thompson-Roylance offered this advice about making room to enjoy the occasion: “All of my friends told me that the wedding day goes by in a flash, so you really need to be mindful of that and enjoy all of the pieces surrounding it,”
