Counting major named, standalone concert-style activations—not each repeat showing—Fortnite has hosted at least 12 prominent events through September 2025. That is a scoped count, not an official Fortnite figure.
Why the total depends on what counts
Some event lists combine concerts with story-driven live events, music-video promotions, Festival seasons and creator-made music islands. Others count every scheduled showing of the same production separately. Those choices can produce very different totals. For example, a 2026 guide reports 65 Fortnite live events, but that figure includes story events and is not a concert count (Beebom’s live-event guide).
The count here treats each major named concert-style activation as one event, regardless of how many times it was shown. It includes the prominent standalone and season-finale performances listed below, but does not attempt to count every Festival season, music appearance or creator-made experience. The available event history does not establish a complete official catalog through October 8, 2026.
The 12 prominent concert-style activations
- Marshmello at Pleasant Park — February 2, 2019. The first major in-game Fortnite concert.
- Travis Scott: Astronomical — April 23–25, 2020. A production shown five times.
- Diplo and Major Lazer with Jordan Fisher — May 1, 2020. A Party Royale concert event.
- Dillon Francis, Steve Aoki and Deadmau5 — May 8, 2020. A multi-part Party Royale concert event, counted here as one activation.
- J Balvin — October 31, 2020. A Party Royale concert that premiered “La Luz.”
- Ariana Grande: Rift Tour — August 2021. A multi-show virtual concert experience.
- The Kid Laroi: Wild Dreams — January 2023. A limited-time Creative experience.
- Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury. — June–August 2024. A UEFN concert with six limited-time windows and later encore showings.
- Karol G: MSB Fortnite — August 2024. A UEFN music experience promoting her album and mixtape.
- Remix: The Prelude — November 2024. Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice performed.
- Remix: The Finale — November 2024. Snoop Dogg, Ice Spice, Eminem and Juice WRLD appeared.
- Daft Punk Experience — September 2025. Described in the event history as Fortnite’s biggest musical event to that point.
This list is a conservative selection of major named activations, not an exhaustive inventory of Fortnite music content. Including additional formats or smaller appearances would raise the count.

How the audience figures compare
Attendance claims need their measurement attached: a peak number of simultaneous players is not the same as the total number of unique attendees across repeated showings.
| Event | Reported audience | What the figure measures |
|---|---|---|
| Marshmello, 2019 | About 10.7 million players | Audience reported by the Inter-American Development Bank in 2022; the source does not specify a comparable cumulative-versus-concurrent basis in the cited figure. |
| Travis Scott: Astronomical, 2020 | 12.3 million; 27.7 million | The first figure is concurrent players at the opening showing; the second is unique players across five showings, as reported by the Inter-American Development Bank in 2022. |
| Remix: The Finale, 2024 | More than 14 million concurrent players | Fortnite’s November 30, 2024 figure, quoted by GameSpot; Fortnite also estimated more than 3 million online streams. |
Fortnite called Remix: The Finale a new all-time in-game concert record in its November 30, 2024 post, as quoted by GameSpot. The record claim describes the metric Fortnite reported; it does not make concurrent peaks directly comparable with cumulative unique-player totals.

Does “live concert” mean the artist played live?
Not necessarily. The Inter-American Development Bank describes major Fortnite shows as “prerecorded and prescheduled,” and a 2024 peer-reviewed article likewise explains that the five Astronomical showings were identical and prerecorded (Inter-American Development Bank report; peer-reviewed article on video game concerts). “Live event” can describe a scheduled, shared in-game experience rather than a musician performing live inside the game at that moment.
The practical answer
For major, named concert-style activations counted once each, the defensible answer is at least 12 through September 2025. There is no single authoritative total covering every definition of a Fortnite concert, every repeat showing and all music-related experiences.
