A November 2024 BGR report interpreted footage of Isaiah Bradley appearing to attack President Thaddeus Ross as a match for one detail in an alleged leak. Marvel’s official synopsis and D23’s event recap establish the film and trailer context, but do not authenticate the leak or confirm its full contents.
What was shown at D23 Brazil?
D23’s event recap says Anthony Mackie and Danny Ramirez appeared at D23 Brazil to discuss Captain America: Brave New World, and shared a clip and a brand-new trailer with attendees. The recap listed February 14, 2025, as the film’s theatrical release date. D23’s account is evidence that the trailer was shown at the event, not that an alleged plot leak was verified.

Marvel’s official film page also lists February 14, 2025, as the release date. The film is officially titled Captain America: Brave New World, rather than simply “Captain America 4,” and stars Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson, who has taken up the Captain America mantle. Marvel’s film page provides the official synopsis and release information.
What does Marvel’s official synopsis say?
Marvel says Sam Wilson meets newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross before becoming involved in an international incident. The synopsis describes Sam’s challenge this way: “He must discover the reason behind a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red.” That is the studio’s published setup; it does not identify the alleged leak as authentic or confirm its details.

- As he takes on the mantle of Captain America, Sam Wilson soon finds himself in the middle of an international incident. In a race against time, Sam must unravel a nefarious global plot before the true mastermind has the entire world seeing red. Warning: Some flashing-lights scenes in this film may affect photosensitive viewers.
What did the report interpret as matching the leak?
A November 2024 BGR story said the D23 Brazil trailer “seems to confirm” a recent plot leak. In particular, the report interpreted footage of Isaiah Bradley apparently attacking Ross at a White House event as consistent with a claim in that alleged leak. BGR’s report supports what the outlet argued about the footage; it is not an official Marvel confirmation.
The distinction matters: a trailer image can appear to align with a reported plot detail without proving how the scene unfolds, whether the alleged leak was accurate in other respects, or whether the footage confirms the leak’s source. The official Marvel and D23 material cited here does not authenticate the leak or verify its full set of alleged plot details.

What is confirmed, and what remains an interpretation?
- Confirmed by official sources: D23 says Mackie and Ramirez shared a new trailer and clip at the Brazil event. Marvel identifies the film as Captain America: Brave New World, names Sam Wilson as Captain America, and gives the story’s broad setup.
- Reported interpretation: BGR read the footage as aligning with an alleged leak, especially the apparent attack on Ross.
- Not established by those sources: That Marvel confirmed the leak, that every alleged detail is accurate, or that the leak’s origin is genuine.
So the headline’s “confirms” is stronger than the evidence supports. The careful version is that BGR interpreted the D23 Brazil trailer as appearing to support one reported leak detail.
