Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is Oblivion Remastered a remake or a remaster?
Bethesda describes it as a remaster made with Virtuos. The original Creation Engine game remains beneath the refreshed presentation and gameplay logic, while Unreal Engine 5 is used for the visual treatment. That means the project updates how the game looks and plays without presenting itself as a wholly new game built from scratch.
