Lisa Loring: the original television Wednesday
Lisa Loring played Wednesday in the live-action ABC sitcom The Addams Family, which ran from 1964 to 1966, and reprised the role in the 1977 television special Halloween with the New Addams Family. ABC reported that Loring was six when the series began. ABC News
Cindy Henderson: an early animated Wednesday
Cindy Henderson voiced Wednesday in “Wednesday Is Missing,” a 1972 episode of The New Scooby-Doo Movies, and in the animated The Addams Family series that followed in 1973. Her portrayal belongs to the character’s early television animation, distinct from the live-action sitcom.

Debi Derryberry: the 1990s animated series
Debi Derryberry voiced Wednesday in the animated The Addams Family television series that aired from 1992 to 1993. This is a separate animated portrayal from Henderson’s 1973 series and Moretz’s later feature films.

Nicole Fugere played Wednesday in the 1998 television film Addams Family Reunion and the live-action series The New Addams Family (1998–1999).
Chloë Grace Moretz: Wednesday in animated films
Chloë Grace Moretz voiced Wednesday in the animated feature films The Addams Family (2019) and The Addams Family 2 (2021). These films use a different format from the live-action movies featuring Ricci and the Netflix series featuring Ortega.

Jenna Ortega plays the title character in Netflix’s Wednesday, which began in 2022. Netflix’s Season 2 cast guide continues to identify Ortega as Wednesday. Netflix Tudum’s cast guide Ortega described returning to the role as “so much fun.”

The seven names above make sense when the roundup covers screen portrayals across live action and animation. They do not represent every Wednesday across all adaptations. Other accounts include performers from stage productions, a 1973 pilot, a web series and portrayals of a younger Wednesday.
