Public reporting documents two prominent relationships in Alexis Bledel’s dating history: she dated Gilmore Girls co-star Milo Ventimiglia, then began a relationship with Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser. Bledel and Kartheiser married in 2014; a 2022 report said Kartheiser filed for divorce. The available reports do not establish Bledel’s current relationship status.
Alexis Bledel and Milo Ventimiglia
Bledel and Ventimiglia played Rory Gilmore and Jess Mariano on Gilmore Girls. Their off-screen relationship was reported publicly as well: ABC News said in March 2013 that the actors had dated for more than three years. That report gives a duration, not exact beginning or ending dates, so precise dates for their relationship are not established by this account.

Alexis Bledel and Vincent Kartheiser
From meeting on Mad Men to dating
Bledel and Kartheiser met while working on Mad Men. The Los Angeles Times reported that they began dating after production in early 2012. Kartheiser later described their conduct on set as professional. In a quote attributed by ELLE to a 2014 Vulture interview, he said: “We were completely professional. We never saw each other out. We never—it was nothing, it was just work.”

Divorce filing
In August 2022, the Los Angeles Times reported that Kartheiser had filed for divorce after eight years of marriage. That report establishes the filing; it does not, by itself, provide a complete account of the proceedings or establish Bledel’s present relationship status.

Some later celebrity roundups list additional alleged relationships. ELLE’s 2025 roundup includes claims based in part on secondary reporting, but the stronger contemporaneous reporting and representative confirmation described above support the Ventimiglia and Kartheiser relationships. Without stronger corroboration, other claims should be treated as unconfirmed rather than as established entries in Bledel’s dating history.
