The phrase “new to streaming” can blur subscription services and digital storefronts. In this week’s releases, only Hit Man was specifically reported as a Netflix arrival; the other film’s digital release meant viewers could rent or buy it.

Hit Man: a Netflix comedy about an undercover fake killer
Richard Linklater directed this 2024 comedy, starring Glen Powell as Gary Johnson, a professor who works undercover for the New Orleans Police Department by posing as a contract killer. Adria Arjona also stars. Netflix’s title page identifies the film’s premise, director, and cast: Netflix: Hit Man.
Netflix’s release guide dated the film’s arrival on its service in select countries to June 7, 2024, after select theatrical screenings began May 24. The “select countries” qualification matters: the announcement does not establish that it was available on Netflix everywhere.

The abbreviated title “The Strangers” refers here to The Strangers: Chapter 1, the 2024 horror film directed by Renny Harlin and starring Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez. A June 6, 2024 report said it would reach digital retailers June 7; a June 7 report described it as available to rent or buy digitally. ComicBook.com and /Film covered that release window.
The 2024 report also described planned DVD, Blu-ray, and Ultra HD editions, with preorder paths. That historical information does not confirm that a particular format or retailer listing is still available now.
