Short answer: The official Season 2 trailer promotes the hotel’s return, but its published description does not identify a specific Season 1 cliffhanger that it resolves. The official episode summaries establish what follows Charlie’s victory over Heaven; they do not confirm a particular trailer-shot interpretation. Season 2 is now available on Prime Video.
Does the Season 2 trailer resolve a Season 1 cliffhanger?
Not in a way established by the official trailer description. Prime Video’s verified trailer listing, published October 1, 2025, promotes the hotel’s “grand re-opening” beginning October 29. Its available description does not name a Season 1 cliffhanger or state that a particular character’s fate, whereabouts, or plans are settled. Prime Video’s official trailer listing
That distinction matters: a trailer image may imply an answer without confirming it, while later episode summaries can establish what happens in the season. The official text available for the trailer and season listing does not identify a specific visual as a definitive answer. Without naming and examining the relevant shot, it would be misleading to claim that the trailer resolves one particular cliffhanger.
What Season 2 officially establishes
Prime Video’s Season 2 episode descriptions provide a clear outline of the post-battle setup. Charlie’s victory against Heaven is followed by a rebuilt hotel and a rush of new sinners. In the first episode, “New Pentious,” Vox reveals a plan for the Vees. The next episode says Sir Pentious’ redemption causes a stir in Heaven; later summaries describe Vox building support, pushing overlords toward war with Heaven, and pursuing a takeover.
