Who made the remake, and what is it about?
Bloober Team developed the remake in collaboration with Konami. It revisits the 2001 psychological horror game’s story: James Sunderland travels to Silent Hill after receiving a mysterious letter from his deceased wife, Mary, and searches the town for clues.
Why do older pages say it is in development?
Konami’s initial announcement identified the project as a remake and named Bloober Team, with PS5 and Steam as the announced platforms. That announcement described the project at the time; the later release announcement superseded its development status.
