In a tribute posted on March 18, 2024, Garrison Brown’s younger sister, Savanah, said she was struggling to understand his death and wrote that he was “no longer in any more pain.” Her words were a personal expression of grief, not a medical finding about her brother.
What Savanah said in her tribute
Garrison died on March 5, 2024, at age 25. About two weeks later, Savanah described the difficulty of making sense of his death in an Instagram tribute, as reported by Entertainment Tonight and Us Weekly.

“I’m having a hard time understanding it,” she wrote, before adding: “But I know now, more than anything, that my brother Garrison is no longer in any more pain.” The quoted wording is attributed to Savanah’s post in those outlets’ coverage.
The everyday memories she shared
Savanah recalled the small, familiar things that bring her brother to mind: seeing cars that resemble his, making peanut-butter-and-jelly sandwiches, and looking at the night sky. These details framed the loss through the routines and reminders that remain after someone dies.

Her appeal to people in distress
The tribute also urged readers not to underestimate how deeply their deaths would affect the people who love them. Savanah wrote: “Persevere, for the sake of your family, for the sake of your friends, for the sake of the ones who love you.”
Garrison’s death was reported as an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Los Angeles Times attributed its account to Flagstaff police and a police report; the circumstances do not establish what Garrison privately felt or why he died.
