Kathryn Edwards joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for season six and left after one season. Before reality TV, she worked as a model; on the show, her former marriage to Marcus Allen became part of a conflict with Faye Resnick, and she spoke about hearing loss and addiction. Edwards said she chose not to return because she valued privacy and time with her husband and friends. Bravo’s latest cited update, from April 2024, reported that she and Donnie Edwards were still married then; it does not establish their status today.

A January 2016 Bravo profile also notes that she appeared in an episode of Married… with Children, traveled internationally, supported veterans’ causes with her husband, and was an avid shoe fan. In that profile, Edwards said, “I’m a shoe fanatic,” calling shoes her “biggest weakness,” and added, “I’m a Manolo junkie.” These are remarks from the 2016 profile, not evidence of a current endorsement.
What happened between Kathryn Edwards and Faye Resnick?
Edwards’s past marriage to former NFL player Marcus Allen became relevant to her season-six storyline. Bravo’s account of Edwards’s departure says she faced off with RHOBH alum Faye Resnick over allegations in Resnick’s 1994 book, Nicole Brown Simpson: The Private Diary of a Life Interrupted. The documented point is that the show featured a conflict over claims in the book; the Bravo report does not independently establish those allegations as fact.

Bravo says Edwards and Allen married after she moved to Los Angeles and divorced after eight years. That history helps explain why the book’s claims became personal in the show’s storyline, but it should not be confused with proof of the claims themselves.
What did she share about hearing impairment and addiction?
Hearing loss
Bravo reported that season six shed light on Edwards being deaf in one ear. In a statement to People quoted in Bravo’s July 8, 2016 departure story, she said viewers had contacted her after getting the hearing device she used. “I feel really good walking away that I was able to get to a lot of people as far as my hearing device,” she said, adding that some viewers told her it had changed their lives. The report does not identify the device’s make or model.

Bravo’s listing for season six, episode 12 says Edwards talks about her own experience with addiction. The listing offers no transcript or further detail, so it does not establish a diagnosis, treatment history, or timeline.
Why did Kathryn Edwards leave RHOBH?
In July 2016, Bravo reported that Edwards would not return for the next season, quoting a statement she gave to People. She said, “I really am kind of a private person,” and explained that the decision came down to time and what she valued: “I value those times with my husband and our friends.” She also said, “It’s nice to be able to live life.” Her explanation was about privacy and time with loved ones; the statement does not establish whether producers asked her to return.

Are Kathryn and Donnie Edwards still together?
Bravo’s April 16, 2024 marriage update reported that Kathryn and Donnie Edwards were still together and nearing their 22nd wedding anniversary in June 2024. The same report cited a June 2023 social post dated June 14, 2002, while Bravo’s 2016 profile says they married in 2003. Bravo’s reports therefore differ on the wedding year. The 2024 story is the latest specific relationship update cited here and cannot confirm their status in 2026.
Donnie Edwards is also a former NFL player. Bravo’s cast biography says he played for the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs, and describes the couple as living in Brentwood and participating in charity work.
