Yes—as of August 28, 2025, Realtor.com reported that My Big Fat Fabulous Life star Whitney Way Thore had moved from Greensboro, North Carolina, to Salem, Massachusetts. The report described a furnished rental, but the available sources do not establish whether Salem is still her residence in October 2026.
What was reported about Whitney Way Thore’s move?
In an interview published August 28, 2025, Realtor.com reported that Thore had settled in Salem after signing a rental agreement in April. She was living with her dog, Goosie, in a furnished, two-bedroom, one-bathroom unit in a New England cottage-style duplex. The report described a rental, not a home purchase.

Thore said she was drawn to the home’s light and open feel, its waterfront setting, and Salem’s historic houses. “Salem is full of beautiful historic houses in different styles that I don’t see where I live in the south, so I feel like every property in the entire city is really charming,” she told Realtor.com.
Why did the story’s status change?
The reporting developed over several days. Realtor.com’s August 19, 2025 story presented the move as planned and said it was not yet clear whether the arrangement would be part-time or permanent. The later August 28 interview described her as moved and settled in Salem. The later report is the one that confirms the move had happened by then.

Is Salem still her home now?
The cited reports establish her move as of August 2025, not her residence in October 2026. They do not confirm whether she has stayed in Salem or moved elsewhere. The home’s address was not made public, and there is no reason to speculate about it.
TLC’s official Season 13 page mentions Salem in episode descriptions, including visits and friends there. That confirms Salem is part of the show’s storyline; it does not establish where Thore currently lives.
